Plan comes together for Farrell and Doyle
We fancied him and had a few quid on as we've always thought he was a very smart horse. It has taken time for the penny to drop and to race correctly. His jumping has come together and he has a huge future. I tried to sell him on several occasions but nobody would buy him so I'm delighted, as I'll be properly paid for him at some stage! I'm a big fan and he is a very exciting horse. He is a fine horse and that ground is as good as he'd want. It is so exciting to be in Galway as we don't get many winners so to have a nice horse to run in a Listed race is great.

Elliott's charge proves King in Latin Quarter Chase
He had a couple of hard races last year leading the mare (stablemate Brighterdaysahead) around which was probably a bit unfair to the horse having to do the donkey work. I was delighted to see the ground being as good as it was today and I thought Jack gave him a beautiful ride. The plan was to take a lead or else go steady in front, he was a bit careful jumping early and he came with one run. We'll keep him to fences now and we'll have fun with him. I don't think he wants winter heavy ground but there are plenty of nice races to be won with him.

Pivotal Attack lands some nice bets in Fillies Maiden
Our filly was very professional, she relaxed and when he asked her, she quickened. I think we have a nice filly going forward. I don't know where we'll go next but the curve will upwards anyway. I don't know the calibre of race it was and the O'Brien-horse (Amelia Earhart) was a bit unlucky but it was the way our filly did it - she did it very well. She is out of a Pivotal-mare and we think she is stakes class.

Heffernan partners Dunum to Galway Mile success
I felt I had got a willing partner. He quickened up the hill and, he dug deep when a challenge came. We couldn't dismiss Galway and have been working towards both this race and the Ahonoora on Sunday. He did well today and Seamie is a great asset for a small yard like ours. Having a jockey of his calibre is a massive help. The horse usually jumps out smart, Seamie wasn't going to give away his position and the horse enjoyed himself. He loves the downhill run into the dip and he battled well towards the line. We'll see how he is at home but hopefully he'll also run in the Ahonoora.

Backers of Coin Collect after Galway maiden success
He is a lovely horse, we've always thought an awful lot of him and he was shrewdly bought by Patrick (Cooper) from the John Dance-dispersal sale last February. He misbehaved at the Curragh and Cork earlier in the year so we gelded him since and he behaved impeccably today. He did what he was supposed to do, is a lovely horse going forward and we'll hope to pick a winners' of one next. We'll plot our way through the season as he is ground-versatile.

Summer Snow defies rise to follow up for Lawlor
You only dream of Galway festivals winners! I was confident of a good run but, being a restricted trainer, you can never be too confident being up against Willie Mullins and all the rest of them. I have my license for four years, my horses are running well and this mare has been tearing up the gallops at home. I knew we were in for a good run, but to win you can't expect it against the big guns. I had always been pre-training and breaking horses so gave away horses to everyone else. I then had too many and couldn't give them away, so I took out the license. I had been winning mostly with my own horses but Pat (Kelly, owner) gave this mare to me when she was rated 64 and she has won from 81 today. She is going through the ranks and this is brilliant.

Heliogabalus and Castleheath dead-heat in Galway nightcap
It didn't look like we were 'up' so we couldn't believe it when the dead-heat was called - it is unbelievable!. Sean and Aideen both work for Jessica Harrington and this horse came from her yard. He ran well in Killarney the last day but he has a little think about things, so the blinkers were a big help today. We had a winner at the festival previously with Eastern Racer but that was during covid so this is great.
