Amid high hopes for the future, he is expected to make an appearance at the Cheltenham Festival in March.

Early days

I???ll Sort That was foaled on May 20th 2020 and is by Lacken Stud???s stallion Sandmason. The gelding is out of Tuscarora, who won over 6f and a mile on the Flat during her racing career.

He???s now trained by Declan Queally and looks like a very useful novice hurdler.

Whilst his pedigree doesn???t stand out, he is a half-brother to a hurdles winner, albeit in a pretty low grade. This horse ended up being a bargain, having cost just ???3,500, and he has already earned just shy of ??100,000 in prize money.

Making his first start under rules in a maiden hurdle at Cork in December 2024, he was well beaten at a big price, finishing 23 lengths adrift of the Willie Mullins-trained winner. His jumping wasn???t quite up to scratch on that occasion and he looked a little green.

Switching to bumpers

Connections decided to run him in a Fairyhouse bumper next time and he showed a good attitude to get the better of Gordon Elliott???s Theflyingking. The runner-up was very well fancied but couldn???t hold off the sustained challenge of the winner.

He won a better race at Naas next time and although there were only four runners, the form is absolutely rock-solid. Spinningayarn finished 74 lengths adrift in fourth and he has won well over hurdles since. The third also won a maiden hurdle next time, while the second has won a bumper and two races over timber.

Willie Mullins??? Sortudo got the better of him at Fairyhouse after that and he was comfortably dispatched on that occasion, finishing 12 lengths adrift.

I???ll Sort That was carrying 3lb more but that wouldn???t have made too much difference in the grand scheme of things.

Return to hurdles

Connections switched him back to hurdles at the start of this season and he was much more ready for it this time around. Starting off in a Listowel maiden in September, he made all the running and his 17 rivals could get nowhere near him.

That 13-length success was followed by victory over a longer trip at Galway in a novice event. He was definitely helped by Welonlyhavedone???s fall at the last, as Gavin Cromwell???s runner was coming with a strong challenge, but came out on top once again.

A drop back in trip was next on the agenda but he also went up in class, running in the Grade 3 Bar One Racing For Auction Novice Hurdle at Navan in November.

The six-year-old battled on well to get the better of Theflyingking for the second time in his career.

Queally???s gelding then announced himself as a serious novice when winning the rearranged Ballymore Novice Hurdle at Naas earlier this month. His bumper conqueror Sortudo was in opposition once again but it was I???ll Sort That who had all the answers.

Winners of the Naas race have a good record at the Cheltenham Festival so a trip to the Cotswolds is firmly on the agenda now.
