Sean said he was a bit flat to the boards early doors and he let him find his rhythm jumping and he was able to sneak into it at the third last. It was pretty clear sailing from there. He’s improved. I was saying to Sean beforehand that there was a handicap hurdle in Navan last year, the Proudstown, and the winner was Mark Fahey’s horse (Flicker Of Hope) who is going for the Irish National. We were second and Oscar’s Brother was third, so we were the only horse that hadn’t gone and done something over fences yet. That was strong form and it’s all come together now. I suppose over the trip the slower ground helped, definitely. I think ground-wise he’s fairly versatile. He had a tongue-tie on today as well so that probably helped with the slower ground. The plan was the National Hunt Chase over 3m5f at Cheltenham. He was 125 today and that’s 145 so that should be still on the cards. He’ll have a bit more weight now but we’ve a great pot behind us so we can’t complain.

Cork Sun, 7th Dec, 2025  Good Girl Kathleen We talked beforehand about going around the inside and I told Donagh that if it wasn't working at halfway, to change tactics, so he had free rein,. Obviously, the bends are well cut up but definitely in the straights there is a nice patch of fresh ground on the inside so we felt there was potentially an angle. It was always going to be risky but he said he was happy and confident all the way. It is great that it worked out. She is going the right way, Donagh was very confident coming and she is a mare on the up. She has a great pedigree, doesn't lack a gear either and could come back in trip.

Fairyhouse Fri, 21st Nov, 2025  On Your Way He’s a very difficult ride and it’s very hard to settle him. He jumped him out stone last. . Anthony rides him at home every day and knows him well. . Heavy ground is the secret to him. . He had a run over fences at Cork last season so we can go that route with him as well.

Listowel Sat, 27th Sep, 2025  Pride Of Place That was sweet, as he gave away a lot of weight to the winner at Killarney the last day and today I was scared when all the fences came out, but he didn't need them. He stays well. Josh is with me every Tuesday and, behind Gordon (Elliott), I have second claim on him. He had ridden two point to point winners for me so this is great.
