I'll Sort That lands For Auction Novice Hurdle in game fashion Unbeaten in two runs over flights this season, the Declan Queally trained I'll Sort That made it three-from-three when rallying close home to land the Grade 3 Bar One Racing For Auction Novice Hurdle at Navan. Making most under the trainer's son and namesake, the 6/4f looked in trouble between the final two flights, as Sam Ewing travelled strongly on the Gordon Elliott trained Theflyingking. As the latter led at the final flight, the David Needham owned I'll Sort That looked booked for second place. However, the market leader found extra on the run-in, getting back up over 50 yards out to prevail by three-quarters-of-a-length. Jockey said: "He was good on the line. "I know Theflyingking, we beat him in a Fairyhouse bumper (in January) before. When Sam (Ewing) was coming to me going to the last, I could see the white head, I was obviously a little bit worried but I wasn't screaming that I was going to lose. "I had a fair idea at the back of the last that my fella would stay going. Halfway up the run-in, I knew I was going to get there and actually didn't use my whip after the last at all. I could hear Sam roaring at his lad to go faster, but thankfully my fella went a little bit quicker than that. "That's his fifth win - won two bumpers, beaten by a very good horse of Willie's (Mullins, Sortudo) last April at the Fairyhouse festival, and now that is his third hurdle win. "Probably didn't jump as well as he did in Galway, but still got a lovely spin throughout. Missed the last a little bit, but he has some guts in fairness to him and that is a big thing in a horse - great heart as well." When asked if he could go for the Royal Bond at Fairyhouse, he replied: "No, definitely not. Finished tired there now, it is tough going out there. Have to give the horse a week in the field and let him gather himself then start back exercising him again. "He'll probably get an entry in Leopardstown in the Grade One on the second day (over Christmas), and he'll get an entry in the Lawlor's of Naas (Grade One, January). Either one of those will be his next race." Paddy Powers went 33/1 from 50/1 I'll Sort That for the Turners Novices' Hurdle. Additional reporting by Michael Graham.
