There is a double helping of Irish racing action on Sunday, with action on the Flat at Naas joined by the National Hunt card from Cork.

It's an eight-race offering at the Mallow venue, with action from 1:10-5:12 and here we're focusing on the William Hill Each Way Extra Challenge Series Handicap Hurdle (2.17) over 2m 2 1/2f with a couple of selections worth looking out for.

NAP: Onefortheditch /p>

Next Best: Tea It Is /p>

Jaadil bids to go one better

The starting point in this 18-runner contest is Jaadil for Limerick handler Davy Fitzgerald. The Kessaar filly didn't have much in the formbook after eight hurdles runs, but last month's Navan second over 2m3f on yielding ground was a big move in the right direction.

She was claimed late on by Sceptred Isle in that race but finished clear second-best and the booking of Sam Ewing for the ride was an indication that a better run was anticipated.

The handicapper has only nudged the filly up 1lb to a mark of 83 now and, aged just four, if she progresses again off the back of that improved showing, there is scope for her to go one better.

Onefortheditch ready for the road

Preference is for ONEFORTHEDITCH for trainer Eamonn Francis Gallagher. The Shirocco mare is a dual winner over hurdles in her 20 starts and has made the frame on seven further occasions.

Her wins came last summer at Kilbeggan and here at Cork over course and distance. She remained consistent afterwards despite failing to add to her tally and, as a result, hit a career-high mark of 105 around the turn of the year.

She has been campaigned over further since midsummer, while she also had two spins over fences in August, but last month's appearance at Listowel over 2m6f was a good effort in fourth.

Darragh O'Keefe was on board for that run and, nudged back up to a mark of 98 now and with this trip around here known to be optimal, there are plenty of signs that this mare will run a big race.

Tea due for a break

Denis Hogan 's TEA IT IS looks at home in this sort of company and should go well in his latest attempt to shed the maiden tag.

The eight-year-old is 0-16 over timber, but has run into the money on six occasions.

Three of those placed efforts came in the month of August over similar trips to this, including here as well as at Ballinrobe and Sligo.

He ran a sound race at Listowel last month and arrives here having been beaten seven-lengths when finishing fourth of 14 over 2m4f at Gowran Park at the start of this month.

Phillip Enright returns in the saddle now and his partner is capable of landing a small prize such as this before long.
