Providing Jessica Harrington with her third winner of the week, Taipan claimed the Rockshore Refreshingly Irish Race for the second year running.

Available at 7/1 before the defection of A Dream To Share, the Fiona Carmichael-owned bay came in for good late support and was returned the 5/2 favourite under Keithen Kennedy.

Soon in a share of the lead with This Songisforyou he gained a definite advantage with half-a-mile to go and powered clear of his rivals when ridden from the furlong pole, ultimately coming home five-lengths to the good.

A winner on debut at Roscommon last month, Sky Captain (11/4 from 4s) filled the runner-up spot under Chris Hayes for Paddy Twomey, while Charlus (5/1) was three-and-a-quarter lengths back in third.

"He seems to love it around here and we'll have to look for some more races for him here," Kate Harrington reflected.

"He did it really nicely. The more Keithen pulled out of him the more he enjoyed it. He's a legend of a horse, he pulls it out of the bag every so often and he's gutsy. The further he goes the better he goes.

"Even the other horse sitting on his girth the whole way, Keithen said he loved it."
