The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident close to the line involving Great Island, ridden by C.M Hogan, placed first, and Maciver, ridden by D.J. O'Keeffe, placed second, where it appeared they came close together. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
The Raceday Stewards enquired into the circumstances where it appeared Great Island ridden by C.M. Hogan and trained by Eoin Griffin crossed the parade ring after being mounted. Evidence was heard from the C.M. Hogan who stated that the groom crossed the parade ring as horses stopped in front of them. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that Eoin Griffin was in breach of Regulation sixteen and in considering his clean record in this regard they fined him €100 on this occasion.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards rated 0-100 Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each hurdle race won.
