The Raceday Stewards interviewed Gordon Elliott, trainer, in relation to Coyote Spirit who runs today on ground officially described as Good to Yielding having been withdrawn yesterday on ground officially described as Good to Yielding. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned who stated that Coyote Spirit was at the track yesterday and he had every intention of running him but felt that the ground was too quick. He added that in hind sight he probably withdrew his charge a bit early as his riders felt the going was perfectly safe and suitable for his charge. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards that have not won a hurdle race before 4th May 2025 that are EBF eligible and have not run as a two or three yr old under any Rules of Racing and that have not won a steeplechase (130 = 11st 12lbs) Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 7lb extra for each hurdle race won.
